Potatoes and Wine

Won't those of you who live in the U.S. of A. help a girl out and pass my potato? No, that's not some kind of sexual innuendo! God, you guys are sick. Anyway, help my spud visit all 50 states! You know you want to! Besides, it's Friday, what else have you got to do? I just want to see if there's any possibility in hell that this potato will actually get to visit more states than I have.

My boss, as a thank-you gift for some work we've been doing lately, very nicely got members of our team our favorite booze. Since I'm not a big boozer (unlike some people who get drunk and then play WoW, healing people haphazardly), I don't really have a favorite kind of booze. My teammates got stuff like their favorite tequila or scotch, and I got ... a bottle of wine. It's an Oregon pinot noir, but that means less than nothing to me. I know absolutely nothing about wine. I'm not even sure that people who like wine and have so much to say about it aren't just making shit up. In any case, I will probably just keep this one around (like several other bottles I have) until someone who knows something about wine comes to my house. I mean, you're supposed to eat certain foods with certain wines, right? For those of you who know about wine, what am I supposed to eat with this wine, theoretically? Also, I find it interesting that the blurb says I should drink it until 2009. What happens if I bust it out in 2010? Will it be bad? I thought that, with wines, the longer you wait to drink it, the better. But now they have expiration dates too?

OMG I heard that on the MTV Movie Awards, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams accepted their award for Best Kiss by sucking each other's faces off at the show!! So sorry to have missed that, but I think Jade taped it. It should have been an extra on The Notebook DVD.
