I love TV show theme songs. My favorite was the one from "Growing Pains." No matter what else was going on, the second it started I knew the next half hour was going to be all right. :))
Things to feel happy about:
* I have FINISHED PP3, which means the story is DONE (though now comes the editing phase, so it may be a couple of days before it's ready for public consumption). This was such a monkey on my back and now it's done, done, done! \:D/
* Jade hit her 50K NaNo count last night! (With PP done, this means we can finally focus on IYOK7, although there are still
dearsanta fics to contend with.)
* I couldn't bear the idea of wearing those jeans that are slightly too big now (as I walk the crotch area goes down to mid-thigh or something ridiculous like that, I'm not a gangsta boy) one more day, so I was fussing around in my closet for a non-ratty pair that would be a bit smaller. I found my old size 4s, and ... they fit! They're a bit more snug than I'd like and they're not at all the style I enjoy (normal waist, no flare), but still. YAY.
* In a little over two weeks, I will be on vacation. Wheeeee! (Though that means there are only 3 weeks or so to work on your fics for DG Feast!)
* Prince of Persia 2 ships tomorrow! Supposedly.
Things to feel not-so-happy about:
* From the reaction on my flist, it would appear that Alexander is not worth watching. This distresses me. I mean ... Colin! Colin and Jared kissing! I don't understand how it could be bad. Oh well.
* My good VCR, the old one that made it possible to tape things off of DVDs and other VCRs and what not, has died. Last night I donned my Amateur VCR Repairer hat and thought I'd found the source of the problem (omg there are so many little PARTS to a stupid VCR, I thought I'd never put it back together), only after I fixed it, it still didn't work. *cries* Oh, and also I electrocuted myself because I was playing with the damn thing plugged in. It was only for a split second, but I fully expect that you'll see me win one of those Darwin awards some day. I love this VCR so much that it's possible I will have to go see if anyone will repair it, and I will pay that cost rather than the cost for a new one (I got one at Target, and as expected, it fuzzes out when you try to record off my DVD player).
* T-Mobile. I cannot stress enough how heinous they are. They have some of the most terrible customer service I have ever encountered. Since an incident nearly three months ago, I have gotten nothing but stonewalling and a complete and utter unwillingness to help from them. The company has no integrity, doesn't value its customers, and demonstrates a marked lack of sound business tactics. I've been a model customer for over two years, and instead of that helping me, it was apparent from all the people I've spoken with that it was a liability. At the end of my required period with them, I am leaving no matter the incentive. I have never been treated so appallingly; I've never experienced such tactics at the hand of a large, thriving business that has nothing to lose and everything to gain by exhibiting even one iota of understanding toward its customers. As long as you don't encounter a circumstance in which you need to contact customer care, you probably wouldn't notice anything amiss, but I have so learned my lesson. I could not in good conscience recommend them to anyone. Well ... maybe my worst enemies. They made me so upset and frustrated yesterday that I CRIED after I got off the phone with them. That pisses me off. The only people who are allowed to make me cry during an argument is my parents, damn it.
I wish I could say the five good things outweigh the three bad things, but bad things have a way of festering.
