I have meetings ALL DAY today. Seriously, how am I supposed to get any work done when I'm in meetings talking about it and never doing it??
I've decided that instead of the east coast, Europe, or Asia, this is where I'd like to visit next.

fearthainn's LJ and answer the question about why you ship D/G. It'll really help flesh out the manifesto, and we want to make sure it's good, right? I know it's not easy ... I can't really explain why I like D/G. I could write a manifesto on Syd/Sark. Or Buffy/Spike. Or even Buffy/Angel, which I don't like. I can and did write a manifesto on Lex/Lana. But Draco/Ginny ... my mind just goes blank. I just like it. Maybe it's because it's the least canon-based ship I've ever enjoyed.
Still, I managed to write a couple of paragraphs, articulating the whys as best as I could -- so you can do it! I have faith. :D
That being said, I am now going to do something that seems a contradiction to what I've just said above and rec a Ginny/Boy!Blaise fic. *hangs head* Awhile ago, Davesmom wrote this one-shot called Aflame that featured that pairing, and I really liked it (not only because it was compelling G/B, but because Draco also had a role and seemed unknowingly besotted w/ Ginny). Well, I've just learned that she's expanded on it, and there's even more Draco in the second installment. I'm hoping that she'll eventually end it D/G. <g> See! I'm still loyal to my OTP.

OMG that you guys actually saved Ginny. I only wanted her to not lose so badly. There seemed to be quite a bit of ... let's call it "creative voting" ... going on at the end there. Another Ginny faction must have stepped in. Don't you know that cheaters never win?! Well, except in this case, but it was the exception to the rule, I'm sure. Anyway, the creative voting was going on for both sides, so let's just say that I'm impressed (and let's face it, a little scared) by the Ginny fans.
There was actually no losing for me either way. Either Ginny was going to live, which is a yay in itself, andmynuet was going to write something, or Ginny was going to die, and jade_okelani was going to console me by writing a fic w/ elements of my choosing. (The last time that happened, Our Winter got written.) So, see, win-win. <g>
(In my head, Ron can't take the idea of his little sister perishing before him, so he insists that he be the one to go. Not realizing, of course, that his sacrifice would be for naught, as Ginny is being controlled by Tom. So sad!)
Edit: I've seen the HP quiz re: casting, but none of the casted characters are the main ones! So I decided to create one w/ those characters. Bwahahahahaa!
Not too surprised about Pud, are you? And lore is absolutely perfect.
But. I am cracking up at the thought of Fo as Harry with his crack team. And my brother as Ginny. OMG. *hurts something*
Edit #2: Heylissinthecity -- you know how LIAB universe Draco is a model? Let me introduce you to Jason Lewis. (Not work safe unless you work for some very understanding people. Or Absolut. Actually, never mind, even that would get you in trouble since Jason did this for S&tC and it was never supposed to be used for a real ad and now he's suing them.)
