Yesterday sucked ass. There are many reasons for that that I shant get into, but suffice it to say that when my puppy did his various bathroom businesses in the house it was really just the topper.

However, there was one part of yesterday that was the single ray of happiness in an otherwise awful day, and I have [livejournal.com profile] liss1224 to thank for it. Honey, THE BOOKS ARRIVED!!!!! Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou. They are utterly beautiful, and I can hardly even think of reading them, but I know I must at some point (I have to read the real versions of the books, you know?). And you wrapped them up so wonderfully ... pretty Gryffindor colors! I have to warn you -- I am the worst wrapper of any of my friends (as them), and unfortunately it was me who sent you "Shutter Island." So don't expect pretty wrapping. I suck at it. *sigh*

I'm thinking of getting a domain and Web hosting, though now I have to come up with a lasting domain name (probably needs to be non-fandom related). I've been pondering it for days and still -- nada. It's a big decision! And limited, considering everything is likely taken. Watch, it'll be this time next year and I'll still be thinking about it. In the search for a proper name, however, I went to some of my old stories from a previous life, and reread "The Absence of Memory," which is arguably the story I am most proud of writing. Didn't get any domain name ideas from it, but have now gotten bitten by the desire to write something in that style for the HP fandom. I don't know if I can do it (improv scares me shitless), but we'll see.

One of the key parts of TAOM was that I had to incorporate random improv elements into the story. So. What I need from you, should you wish to participate, is to leave me an element. It can be HP-specific or not (but cannot be other-fandom specific as I don't want it to be a crossover). Then I'll take those elements and attempt to fashion a story from it. Hopefully a serious one, no matter what the elements (that's the challenge, after all!). I will try to use them all, but cannot guarantee I will since the last one was restricted to two people and this one's open to all. <g>

Shockingly enough ... )

Well, it is 8am in OZ and [livejournal.com profile] liss1224 is up and about, so ...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEETS!!!!!

I didn't think I had more smut in me after my last story, but it turns out that a friend's birthday is great motivation. So I was able to get my ass in gear and write this one up (the idea's been with me for awhile, but never had the push to write it), because Liss deserves big smiles and lotsa smut on her special day. And I couldn't have done it w/o Jade, who betas well and betas fast. It was quick and dirty, baby -- thank you. <g> Well, not so dirty, but that sounded better.

Liss, this one's dedicated to you, my lovely. (And now that she's read it, you all can too. <g>)

Hope you like.
