OMG ARE HOUSE AND CAMERON IN LOVE????????????????????????

Up until these last two eps I just watched, I was always firmly convinced that it was a platonic thing, maybe a father/daughter thing, a mentor/mentee thing. Now I'm like, wtf omg wtf????

*flips out*

*is intrigued*

Hmm, I think you're watching the eps we've just gotten -- I'm sensing some sexual tension there. I think it's always been pretty obvious Cameron has a thing for House, and despite his flippant "I only keep you on because you have a great ass" comments, I think there's something there, too. He's purposely an asshole to her because he's attracted. Rowr!

Love House!

Poor deluded Cameron. House is obviously in love with Wilson.

Can definitely see that, and Wilson is certainly in love with House, but ... this whole Cameron thing has thrown me for a loop. I mean, I wasn't going there. But they kept doing stuff! I kept resisting even thinking House/Cameron because it just did not seem right. But then all the evidence piled up. Witness:

a. House asks Cameron to monster truck rally when Wilson bails. (My reasoning: She was the only one standing there at the time.)

b. Cameron asks House if he likes her. (My reasoning: She's one of those people who have to be liked by everyone.)

c. House says "No" even though it's clear he does like her. (My reasoning: He's either lying out of pride and contrariness, or being literal. Maybe he likes her "a lot" or maybe he even loves her, as a friend/colleague/whatever. But refuses to say so, because that's who he is.)

d. Cameron is obsessed with House liking/not liking her. Foreman notices, starts ribbing her about it. He even implies it in a romantic sense, and Cameron does not dispute it. (My reasoning: It's such nonsense she refuses to acknowledge it.)

e. Shot of House leaning in close to Cameron, and her looking back at him like she's holding her breath. (My reasoning: ......)

f. The following scene, which is really what set off my "omg" sensors:

Wilson: Dr. Cameron’s getting to you. Well, I guess you can’t be around that much niceness and not get any on you.

House: Is that why you haven’t put the moves on her?

Wilson: What makes you think I haven’t put the moves on her? [House stops and stares, then realizes he fell for Wilson’s trap.] Oh. Oh, boy! You’re in trouble.

(Me: But... why? What does this mean?! Does this mean House is admitting that he got some niceness on him and that's all? But it's his reaction to Wilson saying he put the moves on Cameron that's so weird and interesting. I mean, is it just fatherly protectiveness?? But does that really explain Wilson's reaction? The mind boggles.)

g. The scene between them in the lab, where House asks Cameron why she likes him. (Why won't they be more explicit about what kind of "like" they're talking about?!)

h. Cameron going to House's place to tell him she's leaving.

i. House going to Cameron's to ask her to come back; her refusing because his thinking she's a good doctor isn't enough.

All, on their own, innocuous and easily explained. In fact, if it weren't for that one moment between House and Wilson, I'd still keep believing that it's totally a platonic thing. But that plus all these other things are making me crazy with the not knowing. I MUST KNOW. Are they actually going there? Even if it doesn't work out, since I thought what they really wanted to go for was House/Cuddy?

Whoa. Way long and involved reply. You didn't know what you were getting yourself into. :))

I haven't seen the episode where Cameron announces she's leaving yet (that's next week), but I CAN'T WAIT! House in a t-shirt! *melts*

I've read all the recaps on TWoP so I know something of the future House/Cameron, but I will shut up about that. Going by what I've seen, though, I'm not too convinced of any feelings on House's part. To me, he just seems annoyed with her all the time.

...or maybe that's just me projecting, since I am annoyed with her all the time :D :D :D

That was the scene that made me think perhaps there was more to his feelings for her. Up until then I knew there was something, but I wasn't impressed by the chemistry so I denied. *sighs*

You still have eps to see, yes?

Yes, four more! I haven't been taping S2 though, so even after I'm caught up on my DVDs, I won't be entirely in the loop. But maybe in the next four eps it'll turn out that I'm on crack and there's nothing between them after all.

The thing is, I think it would be cute, especially if they did it right. The real obstacle is House -- what does he really feel? Because with Cameron, you can 'excuse' her feelings by saying it's just hero worship, a young girl crushing on her professor, etc. But if House actually returns those feelings, that's where I'm totally whoa.

*stabbity* House/Cameron is a ship that needs sinking. Fast.

I will go into detail with the hate once you've finished the season.

I've finished S1, go ahead (but have not seen any of S2 yet). I initially really didn't like Cameron, but she's okay to me now. The ship as it ended didn't really do anything for me, but I also thought it was kind of .... I don't know, cute. I've never been much into the student/teacher thing (hence no Snape/Hermione for me), but I liked that she was seeing House as a man. Of course, then he (probably accurately) psychoanalyzes her, and now that it's all out in the open, it's not as fun. Plus there's the whole thing with Stacy, and of course, next to Stacy, Cameron looks really young and lame. I totally thought they were going for Chase/Cameron and House/Cuddy in the beginning -- maybe I also liked that they surprised me, I don't know.
