Draco: circumcised or uncircumcised? Why?
Sometimes it's fun to research for stories. <g>
(Sorry guys, I tried to make a poll but apparently you have to post the poll and the entry at the same time. SIGH. Next time I have a question about Draco's foreskin, I'll try and remember. Besides, a text box in a poll has a max of 255 characters; this seems like a topic in which a lot of explanation might be necessary. <g>)

Oh My WORD!

Re: Oh My WORD!
I'm looking at your icon, and then your question, and do you know what my filthy little mind is now wondering???
Re: Oh My WORD!
Thanks for the link! It's really helpful to know, of course, that it's not a popular practice in the UK. But I wanted to see if anyone might have some other thoughts re: the magical community that might change the situation a bit. Thinking of those sorts of things isn't my forte. ; )
I'll use the icon again, in case you'd forgotten. :D
Re: Oh My WORD!
Did you read the parts about the Royal family on that website? The big question in it seems to be regarding if Prince William is cut or not. Poor heir apparent (having everyone thinking about his penis). ;)
The thing it made me think about is the King's English. Perhaps Victoria wanted to set apart royalty (and the aristocrats followed her lead, so it would seem) and that's the reason she started having the Royals circumcised.
Given this line of though, it would be plausible for the Malfoys to be circumcised.
As far as the magical community, why not? They aren't a perfect society; they don't have everything figured out. So, I could see where this would be something that is done in the same sense as the non-magical folks but with a spell - like cooking. *cough* Since it's not that common in the UK, it would be a possible device used to separate the classes.
An interesting little tidbit is that vitamin K, which is needed for proper blood clotting, is at it highest at the end of the first week of life, and that's when Jewish tradition deems circumcision to take place - on the eighth day.
My opinion on the matter: write what you're comfortable with.
