I actually wanted to see Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, because I saw a trailer for it and it looked like it might be a fun GP movie. Plus ropo's friend Victoria has first-billed screenwriting credit on it, and of course I am intrigued (being the only one who has not yet met Vik). Except I heard it's not even a good GP movie. So yeah, there won't be any watching of that.

I've been a total slug this weekend, with the sole exception of finishing IYOK5, which has been posted at MM for early viewing. But if you can wait, we'll be subbing to Schnoogle in a week or so. Otherwise, I've done some reading (including finishing Dragonfly in Amber -- I've now started Voyager and am totally depressed 100 pages in; and the assigned reading for Angels & Demons -- it was so freaking hard to put down after the last chapter) and watched Sinbad, you know that cartoon w/ lots of cool voice talent? Yes, well, I advise you not to make that same mistake.

I shall be watching the Oscars from a friend's house tonight, and I have baked the weirdest cake for the occasion. It's a Coke Cake, which is the first time I've ever heard of such a thing, and its very bizarreness made me eager to try it. And now I will foist it on unsuspecting guinea pigs, haha.

i saw it last night! you know, I liked it. it wasnt the best movie i've ever seen, but it was fun and the music was great. i loved all the dancing (i love any kind of dancing). I thought it was cute. So if you're in for just a fun movie, go see it.

By the way, waht is a GP?

You know, if you were a far more dodgy person and there hadn't been a link, I would be v. worried about this 'coke cake'. There is a chance I've heard my dad's stories about 'special brownies' one too many times as well. *g*

Please do report back on how the cake goes down as if the guinea pigs don't bounce off the walls or anything, I will have to try this for myself.
