I am he and he is me and we are all togetherrrrrr...

Even after all this time, that line creeps me out.

Anyway. It seemed appropriate since it seems that Talis and I are becoming the same person. Witness:

* I don't know what happened to the doggie shampoo after the move, so when Talis had a bath yesterday, I had to use my Herbal Essences. He smells really good though! (Also, he doesn't like my bathroom anymore, as it is now the scene of his ignominous defeat.)

* He refuses to eat what's in his doggie bowl unless it smells just like what I have, and I make a show of putting whatever's on my plate into his. (The fact that he eats "people" food is one of the few things that is not my fault, but my mother's. I suppose it's a small price to pay for the good behavior she did instill in him. It gets to be a pain, though, particularly because he's SO PICKY AND SPOILED that he won't eat anything more than two days old. Even barbecue chicken!)

* I was tired midday yesterday (I was working from home), and since it was right in my office where the heater was turned on, I lay on his big, round doggie bed for a small nap.

In other news...

I am now vindicated for every time I have had to defend Newsies (one of my very favorite movies EVAR) against some naysayer. Joss Whedon is a self-declared fan. I knew there had to be a reason to like him other than for BtVS and Firefly. :))

Okay, I haven't watched Smallville in like three years, but Jade told me about the Christmas episode and OMG I SO HAVE TO WATCH THAT. I just have to find out when it airs. But again -- vindicated for my crazy ship ideas!! Well, not so crazy, as it turns out. HA. Anyway, re: the ep, there are even PICTURES. I will post if anyone wants to see, but otherwise I'm taking the lazy way out.

And now, for a Very Serious Question: If you were the star of your own television show, what would you want as your opening theme song? And what's your show about? Is it a half-hour comedy or a series drama or what?

If you have S1 on DVD it is actually the music in the closing credits

By Massive Attack, right? I do love that music, and wondered why they didn't use it in the opening credits. I didn't realize they used a different one for the show overseas -- why? That is so bizarre.

Hope your trip has been awesome so far!!

Is it by Massive Attack???? I have no idea who it's by, but it's a beautiful piece of music. I nearly fell off the lounge when the credits came up and it wasn't the same! As to why, no idea. It's not the first show I've seen with different credit music -- so odd.

Am about to post about the trip thus far! Hey, would love to ring you once while I'm here if you're up for it...

Okay, I'm getting a bit dizzy reading all the different MB posts about it. There seems to be two possible conclusions:

1) The song is "Teardrop" by Massive Attack, and is used in both the opening and closing credits, but each features different parts of the song. So the UK/Australia/etc. ones just has that part in the opening credits instead.

2) "Teardrop" is most certainly the US opening credits song. However, the closing credits is possibly by a group called Portishead.

#1 does not explain why it'd be different from region to region, but there wasn't a whole lot of support for #2, and the most authoritative voice on this thread (http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?showtopic=3127754&st=165) is in support of #1. So yeah. Oddness.

Sure! I'll send you my number. :D
