WoW and House (with a mention of Firefly for good measure)
I've actually been writing (my ficathon fic), so indulge me in WoWness...
Happy happy joy joy!
seldon says he's gotten WoW! Squee, delay in shipping notwithstanding! Now the eternal question becomes, what new character do I create? Sounds like he might want to be a gnome, which means Alliance. ONLY FOR YOU, CARLOS, WILL I BE ALLIANCE. ONLY FOR YOU. (Well, along with my two existing Alliance chars, but that's neither here nor there.)
Has anyone else noticed that blue items are dropping a lot easier lately? Jade and I *never* got blue drops on Silvermoon. Wait, I take it back, I think I did once get a blue recipe -- or rather, a recipe for blue leather pants -- and I got a random axe or something from a raptor, but other than that, nada. As Elisabeth I've gotten at least half a dozen blue items as random drops, and I once even got a PURPLE! So did Blizzard make those drops easier? Or is it because we're Horde? Or is it the server? Or is it just plain coincidence?
I need to play Alterac Valley more. My god at the great items you can buy. And unlike items based on rank, you can't lose them once you've got the rep to buy them (unless you somehow lamely lose your rep).
I have my first-ever armor set piece! It's the Devout belt, which I bought at the AH for 40g. Hell, what's all my money for if not to buy the things I want? Though I do have to save up for my epic mount...
Okay, so I watched "Sports Medicine" on House last night, and I just have one question: Was that guy the actor who played Noel on Felicity? Because it looked like him, but I didn't recognize his name in the guest star credits, and while I can't recall what it is, I'm sure I'd know it if I saw it. If it wasn't him, he looked freakishly like Noel on Felicity. I'm just saying. However, I am 99% positive that the woman was the actress who played that annoying girl on Dawson's Creek. She made me go all Michael Bluth when she was crying. I was like, "How can I make you never make that face again?" I don't think it was so much that she was crying badly as it is that she looked really awful doing it -- even worse than the way normal people look when we cry, not when actresses cry on screen. (For an example of really good crying, see Inara do it in "Heart of Gold" on Firefly.)
Happy happy joy joy!
