Christian Bale sings!

Tomorrow night I shall be seeing Batman Begins again (Danielle hasn't seen it, and had to totally twist my arm -- not), and having dinner at CPK beforehand. I LOVE their Waldorf salad. Mmmm.

The Christian love has infused me with generosity and love for mankind. Thus, for those of you who aren't lucky enough to own the Newsies original motion picture soundtrack, I bring you "Santa Fe," sung by the hot and talented Mr. Bale. Okay, so he's not going to perform on Broadway any time soon, but it's still a nice voice. And I enjoy that you can still hear his character's Brooklyn accent. :D

<333 Jack Kelly.

Santa Fe - performed by Christian Bale (Newsies) (.wma, 3.97MB)

THANK YOU FOR INFUSING ME WITH THE CHRISTIAN SPIRIT! I AM REBORN! HALLELUJAH!

I am laughing so hard.

Oh, that G.O.B. the first.

I never really cared for Christian Bale until I saw American Psycho. OMG, crazy hot! :P

And I have yet to see Batman Begins. *grumble*

LOL I just rewatched that this weekend because I'd only seen it the one time! His body is insanely sculpted in that movie. Too bad there's the downside of him being completely fucking crazy. Hahahaha.

Did you see Swing Kids? I loved that movie and Christian *pats the pretty, pretty boy* was great in it!

[identity profile] sarea-okelani.livejournal.com 2005-06-22 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee, of course I have. I'm willing to bet that I've seen more Christian Bale movies than anyone on my friends list -- with perhaps the exception of [livejournal.com profile] kstanley.

I've seen a good number of them myself...

[identity profile] sarea-okelani.livejournal.com 2005-06-22 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, want to throw down? <g>

Here are the ones I've seen:

* Empire of the Sun
* Henry V
* Newsies
* Swing Kids
* Little Women
* Pocahontas
* The Portrait of a Lady
* Metroland
* Velvet Goldmine
* All the Little Animals
* A Midsummer Night's Dream
* Mary, Mother of Jesus
* American Psycho
* Shaft
* Laurel Canyon
* Reign of Fire
* Equilibrium
* Batman Begins

I've also got "Heart of the Country," but haven't seen yet, and "Captain Corelli's Mandolin," but can't bring myself to get past the Nic Cage and Penelope Cruz factor. :p

[identity profile] rainpuddle13.livejournal.com 2005-06-22 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I've seen all those except All the Little Animals and Mary, Mother of Jesus. I've seen Captain Corelli's Mandolin (it's *so* very bad).

Have you seen the previews for New World yet? That was filmed about fifty miles from where I live on the actual Jamestown site and surrounding area. I have a link the trailer if you're interested.

[identity profile] sarea-okelani.livejournal.com 2005-06-22 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I've seen it several times and it always pisses me off, because Christian is never billed in the trailer, and you only see a split second shot of him, even. And then, if you didn't know it was him, you wouldn't have a clue it was him. I mean, sure, let Colin Farrell have first billing, fine. But for Christian not to even get a mention?? When he's a much more pedigreed actor and had BB coming out??? That's just stupid. Anyway, Jade and I bet that now that BB is a hit, they're going to adjust the New World trailer so that he does get a mention, just so they can milk every bit of publicity they can for all it's worth. But I'm still bitter they didn't think he warranted a mention in the first place.

The trailer I saw showed him and flashed his name up on the screen!

[identity profile] sarea-okelani.livejournal.com 2005-06-22 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG FINALLY!!

I have yet to see a trailer that does so. Jade and I have gone to so many movies, and every time we see that trailer, it's the one where it's ONLY Colin Farrell. :-l

Did you see it fairly recently?? Maybe they released a new trailer close to the release of BB?? Maybe tonight for BB they'll show a NW trailer that credits him! Though ... there wasn't a NW trailer the first time I saw BB, and don't all movies have the same trailers? So maybe not. Sigh.

[identity profile] rainpuddle13.livejournal.com 2005-06-22 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I just posted the link to the trailer :)

[identity profile] sarea-okelani.livejournal.com 2005-06-22 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, the only one that has that one snapshot of him being credited is the exclusive LA Times trailer (and then, Christopher Plummer also gets one), so you can't see that anywhere else. The official trailer is Colin-only. But I'm glad to see he'll have his British accent; I love his normal speaking voice. : )

i love Swing Kids! It's my favourite movie, after i saw it in history class. i liked robert sean leonard's character more than christian though, mostly cause he's my favourite actor :P but christian was still good in it. i loved the dance scenes.

Was always a Spot Conlan fan myself. *g*

[identity profile] sarea-okelani.livejournal.com 2005-06-22 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I liked Spot also, but it always went back to Jack for me. Spot was ultimately too short to hold my interest. But I never crushed on David.

[identity profile] theliningsilver.livejournal.com 2005-06-22 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
David was just too angelic. :-) Spot had that naughty accent and those pretty blue eyes.
