Re: Draco -- I guess I just don't approach D/G w/ any kind of real hope or expectation that they would actually get together in canon, so the idea of OotP blowing it out of the water is bizarre to me. I mean, in no way, shape, or form was it hinted at, so how can more of the same suddenly make it an impossibility? It's no more an impossibility than it was before!
And yeah, I'm one of those people who was disappointed w/ OotP because I figured that if Draco didn't get a hint of being "redeemed" by then, there was no hope. But as far as fanfic and D/G goes ... I'm still in the same place I was at after GoF and the other books. Fanon!Draco is still fanon!Draco.
I'm totally curious about lefties who were forced to be righties (or vice versa, but I don't think there's much of that going around), and whether or not that did affect brain development. And the fact that now, you can't use your left hand to do stuff. I mean ... why are we inclined toward one way or another, anyway? Why can't it be both? When you started using your right hand, why did the left feel like it had to fade into the background? These are the kinds of studies I'd love to conduct. <g>
