I was up until 1am playing Portal 2 with ![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
akscully. She is my Partner in Science. (That is literally what they call it! :))))) )
The Portal games are the best games in the world. You and your partner are both given portal guns, and you have go through a series of "tests" -- where you have to figure out how to get the both of you out of the room using portals and other situational scenarios. Teamwork makes the dream work. It's soooooooooo fun, and extremely entertaining and funny as well.
Anyway, I literally thought that we'd only been playing for a couple of hours, but I was wrong. That's how engrossing it is!! And also, initially the game server kept crapping out on us, but then it suddenly improved and we played for apparently hours.
We probably should have known, though. At first we were whizzing by the scenarios, and toward the end we were running around like chickens with our heads cut off, clueless (akscully more than me, because she literally takes more steps than I do -- the game keeps track). :)))) Also we were on the beam-pathways levels, which I particularly suck at. My brain just does not logic well in that way.
My coworker tells me that there are some really good user-created levels as well, so maybe when we're done with the game proper (if we're ever done with the game proper), we can play those as well. :D
