All the blink things
Have new blink-182 album in hand, so am v. happy. It seems that every time I go on a trip, one of my fave groups comes out with a new CD for me to listen to as I travel. Last time it was Linkin Park's 'Meteora,' which completely rocked, so I have high hopes for blink. So far, it's ... interesting. Quite unlike their old stuff. A concept album from blink? WTF? "Maybe it's because we've spawned," they say. Hahahahahha.
There's something about Mark Hoppus that ... I don't typically fangirl over musicians. They don't do much for me. But Mark ... he's one of the dumbest dumbasses to ever live, and I couldn't <3 him more. He and Tom are real guys. They're the guys who pulled on your hair and played jokes on you in elementary school, and somehow got famous. No pretension, no tact, no artiste tantrums, no sense that there's anything wrong with having the sense of humor of 13-year-olds. And there's something about Mark's voice ... gah ... let's just say that his vocals on track 3 'I Miss You' ... how shall I put this ... make me very happy to be a girl. <g>
I completely loved AtS last night, but don't feel like doing a big recap right now. Also for the first time in two years, really enjoyed a Smallville ep. Possibly because they finally took advantage of their strongest actor/character.
