Story songs

Let's see...

Alanis Morrisette - "Your House"
Celine Dion - "I Love You"
The Beatles - "Eleanor Rigby"
David Bowie - "Space Oddity"
Savage Garden - "Two Beds and a Coffee Machine"

I think these qualify as well, but your opinion may differ:

Meat Loaf - "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights"
Meat Loaf - "Bat Out of Hell"
Aerosmith - "Janie's Got a Gun"
Pulp - "Common People"

I know more, but those are in spanish. Both "corridos" and "trova" are musical styles that are commonly used to tell stories in songs, and some of them are quite beautiful. There's also a Spanish pop group, Mecano, that used to tell both urban life and fantasy stories in songs.
